Mel is an illustrator and muralist residing in Buda Texas. Her creative process has always centered around story telling whether through traditional mediums or digital paintings that illustrate the whimsical side of people, places, and mural concepts. 

Her journey into mural art began unexpectedly, after painting a large wooden sign for a local business owner. 

The process of painting layer by layer on such a large scale felt so profoundly fulfilling- it didn’t spark something new but rather reconnected her to the original joy and love for her craft that she used to feel as a child creating. 

She started seeking any mural opportunity she could find. The shift from digital illustrator to muralist felt natural and it’s opened up a whole new way of connecting her art with the community around her.
